Distance and Time.

Distance can really test a friendship. There are those who are in touch with your life even though they may be miles away; separated by seas and time zones. And there are those who send the frequent text message early on and after awhile, drift off to oblivion.

Friendship takes effort. As with any other relationship, there is a little give, there is a little take. More give than take in my ideal world.

I suppose some friends were meant to be in our lives at that predestined time - to teach us a thing or two about life. And when we've both had our lessons, we move on. Sometimes, other distractions come along to take place in our lives, sometimes little things happen that are beyond our control and in the end, we are left with awkwardness from what was originally a very edifyng relationship.

I will continue to pray from this end. I will continue to love. I will continue to ask the Lord to watch over, to bless, to keep safe, to grow. But for now, I will do that from a distance.

For now, for the sake of my peace of mind and heart, I am taking a little holiday from some www. I'll still be reading your posts from time to time, so keep those thoughts rolling. May we all continue to enjoy the simple things in life; first rays of sun in the morning, the smell of fresh coffee, a hug, a cuddle, a gentle breeze, cheese cake. May we continue to strive to look out of our own little worlds - to see beyond what our human eyes can see and instead, to put on eyes of faith, a heart of compassion and to give our all in everything that we do.

And it sure feels good to not have a checklist constantly scrolling through on mind. : ) It’s just a break though. I foresee a crazy roller coaster ride coming soon in less than 24 hours’. Erm. One thing i’ve learnt (recently only, unfortunately) is that we will never be prepared enough for anything in life. And perhaps, all that is needed of us to survive is to just keep..breathing.I’m not saying every day is going to be worth waking up in the morning for, it’s not always going to be perfect, but you have to move on, you have to get up or you’ll never stumble upon the days that really, truly are worth waking up for.

p/s: Was really good to finally catch up with the Heaton-ers after 2 years or so. See you guys soon again <3

Ive always found it hard to say no to people. For as far back as I can remember, Ive always been one to try and make everyone happy. I was always the goody-two-shoes in school – not because I wanted to be teacher’s pet, but I just found it hard to, well…break the rules.Life could have been more adventurous!! What say you??! Did anything notti?

About saying no – Ive always been one to go out of my way for people, even at my own expense. If someone needed something done at the last minute, and I had something planned beforehand, Id still try to accommodate that person’s need. If someone asked nicely enough, Id send you all the way home – even if you lived 40mins away from the city. I just cant bear to leave someone stranded at the bus stop or in desperate need of help when I know I am able to – even if it means I wont get some of my own things done.....but how can u resist this?

..and the above is over the bridge. fudge!! Come fast weekend.

Often we overlook the simple things in life, when it is the simple things that give the most joy.May we all remember to take time to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer. A little girl came up to me last weekend and handed me a necklace.Its not fancy but the thought of making me one made me feel special just becoz i helped her to tie her hair into a pigtail and she loves it.Im going to pass on that 'special-ness' to someone this week. You do the same too, wont you? The last thing we need in this world is the lack of humour; the lack of ability to see the lighter side of things - goodness knows, we desperately need it sometimes.

Till then. Geez, this weekend is something to look forward to.

Something happened during movie...

Last Saturday, I went to 1u with my bro,
and v went to watch "Tooth Fairy" in GSC (the NEW cinema in NEW wing).

There was something happened during the movie,
and i wonder, what is the probability to have this incident to happen? =.=??

Ok, this is what happened in the cinema...

" The movie started...
me and my bro watch watch n watch...
at the very beginning, there is nothing unusual,
then suddenly, the screen was like "blinking",
and because of the story at that moment,
me and my bro thought that was a effect of the movie,
then, the audio started to become like 'slow motion',
and the movie was pause!
Ok, at that moment,
me and my bro really thought that was part of the movie because of the story again,
however, the right bottom of the screen start to fade,
and we still think that was part of the movie... =.='''
And slowly, the screen become white and something black at the edges...
Then only we realise... the film burnt!!!!! "

Shit~ then inside the cinema,
some people started to shout :
" Bakar~ bakar~"
" CxBxi~ "

.
.
. And many many more of the WORDS you can think of...

Finally, the staff came to the cinema and find out what happened,
some more they came only when some audience went to look for them!
Seriously, why would this happened??
Quite disappointed with GSC 1U... >.<

But the funny thing is, i think almost all of the audience thought those unusual was part of the movie at the very beginning... hahahaha~ =p

Or maybe, the "films" know that that day was my bro birthday, wanna celebrate for him?
You know, they imagine themselves as candle... n burn themselves... =p

However, this is still a very very unforgettable experience...
It is really "once in a life time"... >.< What a joke...
The only thing i regret is i didn't manage to record when the film is burning...
The whole screen started to fade... those effect was "amazing"!! Hahaha~ =p

After i leave her for 2 years...

It is actually i bring her to grooming,
and everytime after she had her fingernails cut,
her fingernails will become very very very sharp at the first day...
(Hmmm~ don't ask me why, i also wonder why...)
Then, i play hide and seek with her... (actually just chasing her around the house)
When i catch her and hug her, she start to struggle...
And eventually.... she scratch me!!! T.T

Besides... now she totally become the QUEEN of the house!
There was once she walk arrogantly into my room and look at me,
then i look at her too... due to the angle problem, i can't see what is she doing,

No, I haven't abandon this blog - but there haven't been anything interesting to write about.  For now buckle up and here it comes.
 

People have gone sensitive a level or two higher. I'm a pretty sensitive soul, and I usually get paranoid about it. But I also am able to deem it trivial soon enough, too. It keeps me sane.
 

Plus, I don't need the added stress from having to argue with people about who's wrong and who's right; who's better at something and who's not; what's a negative critique and what's a constructive one. Most of all, I don't like ruining relationships with people just over silly little sillys.
 

I get it that we're susceptible to the negatives that get thrown daily into our faces to the point that it crushes us in such ways imaginable, especially when it stems from those who know us well. Our emotions heed us to believe that these people prey on our weaknesses because of some personal vendetta, that every opponent, every critic must have an agenda. An agenda that spells out jealousy, envy, amour propre - our emotions tell our mind to accept these as true of the people. It finally gives us reasons to justify our vindictiveness, much characterized by rancour, that soon tells ourselves that we (I am) are right, and they (you) are wrong.
 

Without a doubt, like you, I go through these stages, too. There have always been moments when I tell myself that I must be right about this, that my actions and decisions were called for, and that my reasons suffice at its basics. These are when I over-analysed everything, when I cared too much.
 

But when I accepted it as it is, when I didn't bother too much about it, I soon realized one fundamental thing about human, about being an individual. It is the one thing that we have too soon forgotten about in this day and age.That everyone is capable of making sincerely held difference of opinions. Without any agenda, without any reason.You might say that Liverpool is better, I might say that Manchester is second to none (heh! no offence just example aite). You might say that a BMW is the top-notch, I would say a Volkswagon Touareg is a prime sterling. You might say that it is your own passion, I might think it's a borrowed inspiration.
 

My point is, don't be too quick to judge a person's character or assume that someone've got an agenda just because of one un-informed comment. If you want to continue to believe that I must be overly envious of something, then go ahead. It's okay if you want to live in your own little world, because I sometimes do.

On the other note, 'the surprise' really worked. Thanks all for co-operating. Parents & everyone's taken-aback expressions were priceless ^_^* In the last few weeks time zoomed passed in a flash coz I/We had so much things happening and then  to date  I terribly miss it when I wake up eventhough I dont have to wake-up seeing leaves on trees turning bright shade of saffron with mixes of green and brown (a classic picture of autumn with grey clouds for a background). And so i've been home for a couple of days and trying to adjust to being home again, and, I will also attempt to drizzle little stories here and there that may allow you to catch a little more of my heart and of the faithfulness of God that has carried me through thus far!

What is it that makes people fall in love? Answer: Small things!!

Here are some examples:

He was a senior student, she was a sophomore. He saw her from the top floor of the school, she was chatting with her friends, she was beautiful in his eyes, she was perfect... and she looked up to him and smiles.... he fell for her right at that moment

He and her was best friends, they spend most of their time with each other, completely comfortable with each other presence. They can talk about anything and everything. Fight about anything and everything. He was a musician. He let her listen some of his songs, she was very proud of him. He then played his guitar in front of her.... that's when the sparks generate

He was her classmate. They had this small study group that always support each other during studies. One day, out of exhaustion, he slept off when they were studying for final exam. She let him slept for an hour before waking him up. When he was woken up by her gentle voice... he saw an angel

She only met her once at a party. He always seems to be surrounded by girls. They were also very comfortable with him despite of him being single. He appears to be very lively and full of laughter. He came to her and introduced himself. When she shook his hand... she melted.

He was just arrived in a foreign country for study. Alone, he settled down for 3-4 months until he met her. She was a fresher, but she already had a group of friends. They would go out in a big group for dinner and have a laughter or two every evening. When she asked him to come along, he felt accepted. When they became closer to each other, something inside him grows. When their friends were talking about them.... he realized it was love.

Ignorance..Bliss??

Came across this on my friend's P.M. on MSN. I didn't think about it too much when I first saw it but now I say to myself, how true can it be in my own situation.

What you don't know, won't hurt you.

You can debate on and on about this where ignorance is bliss. This phrase comes from a poem by Thomas Gray in Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College (1742): "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise." From the sentence itself, if you know things that are just unbearable to hear, or think about, it is better to ignore those things and you live in a peace state of mind.

I can relate to everyday things in my life and around my life. For example, I can ignore the negative things people back home talk about me and I wouldn't be aggressive towards them if I DO hear them and take action about it. But if I ignore health-related symptoms such as my excessive thirst and frequent visits to the toilets, I will be in the hospital and be treated for DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis). So, I can't really hold onto this philosophy but as the saying goes, `when he is wise, he is lucky.' Being wise to balance the things around you but still using that phrase in everyday life, that you are lucky to be living in this world.

I may talk nonsense but I can't really explain it well. `Experts don't advertise themselves'.

At present, I ignore things that will surely hurt me. Not that I don't care, but that is my coping mechanism.We share this world, equality is utmost importance to us and so, suck up your ego. Toodles :D

Male C: I was born a female but decided to have transexual surgery due to my identity issue and sexual orientation. I, however, still keep my uterus and therefore, this product answers to my need. I am so glad it's out in the market now.

Let's talk about Newcastle, the lovely ci... I mean kampong which accommodated our contributors for at least a year.

Ahh... Millenium Bridge... Most sightful place in Newcastle. You can't cross it after 2 a.m.

Here are somethings about that might trigger bittersweet memories about Newcastle:

- "Howay man!!" "Where ye gan tonight?" "Av ye gan neet oot lyk!!?" "Aye, was it mint lyk?" "Nee botha" Geordie accent... note that no matter how un-English does it sound, it is still officially part of English.

- If it is possible to make an accurate forecast on the weather, it might sound like this: "Cloudy with 40% chance of rain which might occur at 08.31 for 3 seconds, then drizzles for about 5 minutes, you'll get 25 minutes of sunshine and then dark clouds. Heavy rain at 10.51 for 3 minutes followed by intense sunshine, and cloudy again. Another rain at 12.21 for 4 minutes 39 seconds and then drizzles with sleets every 14 minutes 22 seconds interval until night fall. Clear sky throughout the night. Humidity varies throughout the day as well as temperature, therefore, it is pointless to give the forecast for the temperature and humidity. Also, watch out for strong gusts which might occur randomly during the day."

- Random drunken singing, shouting and yells... which can be hear from about 9 p.m. till 5 a.m.

- Influx of people going INTO St. James stadium with black and white striped Jerseys with happy faces =D

- Influx of people going OUT of St. James stadium with black and white striped Jerseys with really angry facial expression >=( and shouts

- Traditional (Red-skinned) Indian ambient music performance on High Street every single Saturday only to be ruined by massive amount of shoppers moving about the same area

- Ghost stories. There are so many in Newcastle that it is as if every inch of the city is haunted!!

- Last but not least, we tend to look forward for Thursday instead of weekend because shops closes 2 hours later than usual.... (P/S: Shops in Southeast Asia a closes about 2-3 hours later than this and we took it for granted before we came here =.='')

Fun facts:

On the best of my knowledge, there are at least 9 different places called Newcastle in UK alone. There are also at least 2 others in Australia, 5 more in Canada, 3 in the Republic of Ireland, and 19 more in U.S.!!!

And the parents would actually answer it this way.. When mommy and daddy really love each other (hahaha) yada yada yada.Do you know that in an average day, a four year old child will ask 437 questions!

Oh I have a new dream..hahaha Speaking of random :P. That is going to Bora-bora island.Someday- someday.Probably wit a life-partner heh :). Its okay if i dont get to shop but i get to see towering peaks of sheer black rock dominating the center of the island and make an impressive backdrop to an assortment of blue waters that will dazzle my eyes and probably dude(s) with 6-pacs *oh-wait, i plan to go with my life-time partner* hahaha..I get so excited to see any travel websites. And I get creative with my imagination. hahaha apakan.
But yeh, thats the new dream. Going to Bora-bora that is.

On the other note...When do we appreciate things the most? Sadly, most of us at one time or another tend to appreciate it only after it is gone or we can't have it anymore! People sadly get taken for granted every day.
When someone or something is gone, we tend to only remember the good parts and forget the bad. Its like, we only truly realised how much that person or situation meant to us after the fact!

5 Reasons why “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” is 2009’s better film than “Transformer’s 2: Revenge of the Fallen”

WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD

Whoa. This I didn’t expect. After being made to suffer through the screening of two of the most highly anticipated films of 2009: ‘Transformers 2: Revenge of the fallen’ (ROTF) and ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ (THBP), it seemed almost certain that 2009 was not going to be a very bright year for films. Bold as that claim may be (What about Star Trek? Terminator Salvation? The Train Molester Spycam? Opps… wrong film) I am making the comparison against the current two biggest chart toppers, which are the two previously mentioned.

"O la la. You can take me prisoner anytime."

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (TROC). The earlier trailer seemed decently impressive, even with a sneak peak of the so called clunky-looking ‘Delta 6 Accelerator Suits’ (Looking at it somehow brings ‘HALO’ to mind), but having already been put off by the dissaspointment of both ROTF and THBP I expected the worst from TROC as well. Turns out, there is hope after all for the Joes. Here’s why:

1. There are characters actually worth remembering

… or rather, you could say that you can ACTUALLY remember them. ROTF had a heavy cast of new robots from both the autobot and deception fractions, but other than those already mentioned in the first movie (Transformers), we were pretty much left to figure out who the rest of those robots were as well as their significance to the plot. Hell, not even the casual fans could figure out the identities of some of the robots, let alone wonder if their transformation mode ended up in being a car, bicycle or a condom dispensing machine. For TROC on the other hand, you could actually relate something unique to almost every G.I. JOE character regardless of their JOE/COBRA identities, be it a skill, weapon choice, intelligence, creepiness or just plain stupidity. There is of course a specific focus laid out for some characters (Well you can’t expect EVERY G.I JOE to be detailed out in a single movie now can you?) which could have been done better but nevertheless, I suppose we’re pretty happy about it. From the battle between the two ninjas and the almost cheesy love story plot between Duke and the Baroness + Ripcord and Scarlett, these are definitely characters which you will remember better than a bunch of ‘nameless’ robots marching around almost aimlessly from ROTF.

2. G.I. JOE is actually a fun film to watch

Let’s not remind ourselves of the idiotic twin autobot brothers from ROTL whose character involvement I believe was to actually to induce humor within the film, only to be greeted with a long irritating disbelief of “What the fuck?”. Let’s face it. If ROTF was meant to be funny, it failed. Not only did it seemed stupid that a bunch of ALIEN robots tried to make an impression of the ghetto attitude, it seemed even more stupid that a pet spy decepticon-turned-autobot actually tried to hump Megan Fox’s leg doggy style. Probably the only consolation with regards to humor for the film was when the idiotic but lovable Agent Simmons was sought back into the plot. But it couldn’t flush out the ridiculousness of the autobot twins. As for TROC, the idea casting of Marlon Wayans to play Ripcord seemed like an almost genius idea, as he delivers his form of humor is its sheer raw state. You’ve got to admit, it would’ve have been a pretty boring film without him. The stupidly involved almost makes you wonder if real idiots like him actually exist in a highly classified/trained military group.

Scene - When handling the accelerator suits

Breaker: Careful! They’re (The suits) worth billions of dollars!

Ripcord: (*Wearing suit) Billions of dollars, I got it.

(*Ripcord then falls over smashing the suit backwards in to the ground)

Ripcord: My bad! Won’t happen again!

(*Turns around and gets smashed by a car)

RipCord: Billions of dollars? No problem. I can definitely break it

3. Stephen Sommers (G.I. JOE’s director) actually did it right

Sure, Michael Bay (Trasnformers 1, 2 director) is almost like Michael Jackson when it comes to films, having achieve it with several major films in the past (Bad Boys I & II, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor etc) but the problem with Michael Bay is that he likes to blow shit up so much that sadly, ROTF blew up in a bad turn for the worse. Now, mention the name Stephen Sommers, and a few films a few films will come to mind: the Mummy Series (All three films), The Scorpion King, and perhaps Van Hellsing. My thought was, is he ready to get out of the desert and medieval vampire hunting scene to actually produce a movie of this caliber? I have to be honest, “The Mummy” films weren’t that great to begin with (Tomb of the Dragon Emperor? WTF) and “Van Hellsing” was almost as ridiculous as the Transformers Angel scene. But where I suspected it will go all wrong in G.I. Joe (Like maybe the G.I. Joes find a mummy tomb and turns into werewolves, battling against the Cobra units who turn out to be… vampires) it actually went pretty well. There was the main plot ensuing the battle between the Joes and Cobra units, as well as side plots between rivals (Who doesn’t think that the ninja fight scene wasn’t cool?) and past relationships which made you go “Hmmmmm oh ok…”, before you are eventually presented the final scene and find out ‘WOOOOOTT!*censored’ [Seriously, watch the film yourself].

4. The science involved is actually believable

So you have a merchant of war, selling highly advanced arms and weapons to both sides. Plus, they’re not just any ordinary arms - Nanomites: microscopic robotic forms which will DISINTERGRATE THE HELL out of anything it touches. (Hmm… ‘The Day The Earth Stood Still’ anyone?) Now that’s freaking scary. Its not like bullets where you can at least dodge if you can predict its trajectory, but how do you escape something destructive that’s on a minute scale going haywire everywhere? And considering the fact that already the cruisers, delta 6 suits, pulse guns and whatever gadgetry shown in TROC is seemingly far advanced than what we know now, (Well unless it secretly exists currently) it does (in the beginning of the film) mention that ‘In the not so distant future’, which bridges the line of ‘were-not-at-that-stage-of-technology-yet!’ with ‘Hahaha… die motherfuckers! *boom boom pow’. Whatever-near future that is at, at least the buildings and cars still look oddly the same.

5. T2: Revenge of the Fallen was a terribly TERRIBLE movie to begin with

It’s undeniable that ROTF still has the best damn CG we’ve ever laid eyes on. In fact, I was so in awe of it I literally wet myself from drooling over the span of the entire show. (Megan Fox included) However, you can’t judge it by CG alone. It’s no argument that the plot for ROTF is one of the worst we’ve seen, and there were plenty of things which made little sense, like how there seemed to be a connection between the number of decepticons present and the rate of their success. Remember the first movie? Blackout (The helicopter transforming deception) wiped out an ENTIRE U.S. military base in the blink of an eye, whilst stealing data regarding the cube from them at the same time. But in ROTF, Megatron led AN ARMY of deceptions against a puny squad of humans in the desert who, (some) were still armed with regular bullets (They said only Sabot rounds were effective against the robots in Transformers 1) aided by only a handful of autobots, but still couldn’t overthrow them. Also I find it hard to believe that where Optimus Prime was merely the ‘brother of Megatron’ in the first film with almost zero chance of winning a one-to-one combat, (Optimus Prime: Sam! If I can’t defeat Megatron you must call the Power Rangers!) suddenly emerges as one of the ‘Divine Primes’ in the second. Hmmm… character change anyone? You might as well call him ‘Neo’. And Jetfire is a freaking robot! Why the hell does a robot need a walking stick????

JetFire: What are you talking about? Its COOL to have a walking stick isn't it?

In essence, the standard expectation line set from ROTF wasn’t very high to begin with, which is probably why I probably found TROC highly entertaining in comparison. Still you have to keep in mind, while ROTF is Transformers second film, (In which the first Transformers did brilliantly well) TROC is G.I. Joes first feature film. So far they have a great next plot to exploit, plenty of room to improve and the only thing they need to watch out for is to not screw it up like how ROTF did.

Summer Memories - The Shoe Deity

Shoes. Sneakers. Boots. 'Selipar Jepun', Stilletoes. etc. The usual footwear which keeps your feet safe from the ground's lurking unknowns: shards, poop, stones, poop, sandy ground and of course, well... poop. I made extra effort in mentioning 'poop' (there it goes again) because we all know damn well how much we hate having it smeared on our lovely footwear. Its like a hideous giant wart or pimple on the ground which causes everyone to go, "EWWWWW POOP!" *stepsaside upon sight.

Regardless of where, people will avoid stepping on poop. There is no such thing as a poop too beautiful or fragrant enough for you to willingly want to step on it. HOWEVER. There are times where the unthinkable happens. You walk down the road daydreaming about that guy/girl you just saw, or perhaps just looking casually at the clouds thinking, "O man, what a beautiful day!", when suddenly you realized your feet just landed on something squishy before touching the ground. (Worse still if you can feet the warmth of it) Oh no. You've just been 'poop-ed'. And of all days where you least expect it to happen, it had to be that day when you have your new pair of armanigoldenlaceddiamondstudded sneakers on. FML.

Well, what you didn't know is, the 'poop-ed' experience which sometimes happens to unlucky victims isn't coincidental. Yes that's right. It isn't. You sometimes 'accidentally' stepped on poop simply because of one factor: You did not pay your respects to the shoe deity.

Shoe Deity - aka shoe god. A supreme being whose character and existence overseas the universal domain on shoes. Note: It is not known if the shoe deity is straight or gay as sometimes we observe some pretty fucked up footwear being worn by 'certain' people.

Yes. The Shoe Deity. One who reigns dominion over 'Shoe Society', a place where shoes go after they wear off and die. (Not to be confused with 'Soul Society' from 'Bleach') If you've never heard of the shoe deity, its probably the reason why poop have been appearing on the paths you walk and the reason why you've been stepping on poop all your life. YOU HAS TA GIV DA RESPECT BABEH. RESPECT. Fortunately for you, I am going to reveal how this is exactly done.

First - As with all known deities, pleasing one is normally done with an offering/sacrifice. So what kind of offering/sacrifice would one offer a Shoe Deity? Foot fetish videos? Shoe deodorants? Hell no. Its shoes of course. Why would a Shoe Deity want anything else?

Pictured below are some of the offerings you can offer to ensure you a poop-ed free year. (Yes, its not a one-off thing. Has to be done yearly. Kinda like taxes) Its acceptable to offer worn out shoes, (since they need to pass on to 'Shoe Society' anyway) but if you feel like offering BRAND NEW shoes, they'd have to be specifically branded (Topman, Armani, Gucci, Nike, Puma or Adidas) and a particular size (Size 9-UK) and offered to a specific address. (Email me for address) The reason for this is so that I... I mean the person staying at the stated address can verify if your offering is acceptable or not.

Next, you'll have to find a 'sacred hanging monument' whereby to offer your shoes. The good thing is, there is one in Heaton, just on the down path after passing through Heaton park. (Picture below) For the ease of explanation, we'll just refer to it from now on as 'The Tree'.

Now, to offer your shoes you'd have to allow it some sort of way to hang on 'The Tree'. The best way so far is to hook them up with shoe laces together so that you can launch them up and tangle them easier. Kinda like this...

Now. Not only is the shoe lace binding method efficient but it also pleases the Shoe Deity. You see, to the Shoe Deity the laces are like noodles. Om nom nom nom nom...

Oh and there is one other thing to keep in mind. The Shoe deity does not favor Manchester United fans. If you're a Man U fan and want to make an offering, you'd have to ask a third party to make an offering in your place as the Shoe Deity will not accept your offering. An example of a Man U fan is below...

"Thats bullshit! How can the shoe deity tell if i'm a Man U fan?" you say? Don't be stupid. The Shoe Deity knows all. "The Tree" is a sacred place and is thus guarded by demon patrol dogs. I don't have a photo of the dogs (because you can't actually capture deity beings on camera) but i can show you a photo of the terrified Man U fan below hanging on to the person with the pokka dot shirt.

Okay. So before 'launching' the offerings up a little warm up is perhaps needed. After all, you don't want to pull a muscle when making an offering. A simple stretch is sufficient.

Next, avoid from being too cocky. Just because you think you can launch your shoe offering in a single attempt doesn't mean you'll succeed. Pictured below is a classic example of that...

Cocky-boy in blue shirt: I'm SOOO skilled im going to get it stuck on the tree in a single try!

Result: Shoe flew way past cocky-boy's head, 20 meters BEHIND. Cocky boy is now has to retrieve back the offering.

Girl in pokka dot shirt: GONG GONG BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And so cocky-boy attempts second launch into 'The Tree'...

Beside 'cocky-boy' is 'uber coolness-maximus boy', who shows him how the launch is REALLY done. (Yes. You can clap now)

And finally, after the 43,634,789th attempt, cocky-boy manages to get his shoe offering up on the tree.

And thus concludes the offering. Shoe Deity is now pleased, and you can be sure to have a poop free experience for the rest of the year until your next offering. If you do step on one it could be the Lao Sai Deity you haven't made an offering to. Whats the difference you ask? Well poop is firmer, Lao Sai is not. But there are times when you cannot distinguish between the two in an intermediate state. Good luck.

Summer Memories - Graduation

Some of you will at least remember that it was graduation not too long ago and perhaps be able to recognize your cute little faces being displayed on the following collection of snaps. I actually had these for a while now but due to a certain disagreement between my and Lulu's monitor screen, (I initially edited/processed the photos on the Emperor's Sony Vaio) the photos came out darker on mine than it did on his. (Hmmm? Whats this? Why am I more tanned than usual? Damn worthless sunblock) And thus being the particularly anal person i am about everything I thought I'd transfer and re-do it on mine instead. (Rendering estimation time: 99,452,675 years in comparison) The difference is probably negligible but it helps me sleep more soundly at night so i don't have to wake up screaming, 'NOOOOOO! THE PHOTOS ARE DARK!!!!!'. On that note, do enjoy.

So like, this is the hall you finally get to enter into after 3 years of slavery...

and then be witness to some sort of ritual ceremony where a man in robes lifts his hat off to two people with a sword and a mace in their hands, probably in hopes they that he wont be beheaded. Or maybe its just a routine check to ensure everyone that HE IS BALDING. *run for your lives... it could be infectious.

Meanwhile, there's a media company present which decides, "Damn it. Theres a lot of money to be made from these cash cow students. Especially the international ones. Lets have everything on tape and charge them a liver for it!".

This seems to me like a gathering of Jedi in a temple. The only difference is, none of them are carrying any light sabers and a majority of them probably look as old as master Yoda.

And the cheeky first class student went, "Wheres that bastard photographer? Is he taking my shots or lazying around taking snaps of random women?" (Well i was actually. The woman beside Eugene that is.)

Behold. The device that captures your image on stage as you walk to shake hands with the man in the golden laced black robe. WTF??? ITS A NIKON???? *destroys building

(Refer below) Tip: Start brushing your teeth regularly a week before graduation and polish them with Brasso afterwards. That way you'll have shiny white teeth like these two instead of white hair like the man in the background.

Note: After 3 years of studying, you earn the right to jump like this (refer below) in front of the city hall. Don't worry about those people staring at you at the back. They're just jealous cause they can't jump.

Another opportunity to display your Brasso-ed teeth. Notice how that guy in the far left (refer below) stands out a lil? Tip: When the photographer positions you the furthest from the camera view, smile the widest.

See that stupid guy using Lulu's cloak to block himself from the sun? Wtf is he doing? Is he retarded? Tip: Stay away from stupid people. Stupidity is infectious.

I'm not sure what these girls are trying to say with that mouth gesture but it should be something along the lines of "Mooooooo" or something like that. The science department is still trying to figure that out.

Tragedy no 1: It so happens that on that day, all the girls injured their right leg and thus couldn't use it to support themselves, thereby lifting it off the ground in display of agony. (I know. It looks like they're smiling but because the photo is so small you can't actually see the tears that are coming out of their eyes)

Said the orange flower: I'm the largest!
Said the purple flower: I'm the tallest! (When put in this position)
Said the red flower: O yeah? Well screw the both of you. I'm probably the most expensive.

Not sure why the lady is holding her cheeks but I'm sure its some sort of preventive measure or something. Maybe from going *PUFF!

Whenever I walk down the town with a bunch of friends, I would always notice one or two absolute random strangers throwing smiles or even wave at me. While being puzzled, I would always throw my brightest smile back at them before asking one of my friend about their identity. Most of the time, I would get "I don't know them, I thought he/she's your friend". On a particular similar occassion, a friend told me, "It's because you always wear that smile wherever you go" It struck me. It was actually them who replied my smile...

Seeing their friendly smile, I was amazed on how powerful a smile can be. A smile can actually turn two absolute strangers into best friends (although just for a mere moment). As much as it puzzles me on how those strangers would smile at me, their sincere smile would always successfully brighten up my day. It is as if they are reminding me that life is good, that there's always room for happiness. And I thought to myself that maybe that was the whole reason they replied my smile.

P/S: I will put myself on smile campaign. Starting today to next month, I will smile whenever, wherever, whatever the situation is. I will also put this small little fellow =) in every single of my text messages. Because I believe people look their best when they are smiling. Any one of you fellow readers interested to join in?

The End of the Beginning

First of all, this post goes out to all those who have graduated. The past week has all been about graduation! Another batch of us has now graduated and the start of a new journey will soon come. For now I guess its all about fun and enjoying the time off, no more worries about exams and assignments!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last post by Lenz talked about going to beach, and yet we haven't. The weather in Newcastle has been "Shite" (my attempt so sound geordie). Summer is not summer and I think Newcastle has only one season all year round - miserable is what you should call it! I know a whole bunch of you will agree with me. A sunny day would eventually be ruined by horrible rain.... ARGH!

Anyway, time will soon come when there will be a bunch of friends leaving us again! I know I will devastated when it happens...... tears will be shed and I will definitely be one of them who will shed buckets!!!

Personally, this is what attracts me to a beautiful photo, something that tells a story. A beautiful photo without a story is just that - a beautiful photo. You may argue that art is objective and that beauty is relative and even inject the cliche that a picture is worth a thousand words.

A universal philosophy - I do not contest this.

But a little caption to it or even a short, exclusive title offers viewers a little insight to what the photographer was thinking when the picture was taken. Yes, a picture does say a thousand words...but a picture with a little story (caption)or a title, a sort of cohesive narrative, helps you understand the emotions, the motives, the passion of the composition.

Oh, I've digressed. Okey, I'll stop with the cliches...Below's a little "giggle-bite" you might enjoy:

Today, the clouds were grey and solemn. The rain poured down with a ferocity that would put Niagara Falls to shame (okay, maybe I am exaggerating, but its hardly ever that Newcastle gets such heavy rain!) and it was quite a chilly day- not very nice. oh well... bonjour July :)

the summary of a little bit of everything: I moved out of 90 Malcolm Street. Thank you very much Kingsley, Eugene and Szue May for lending a helping hand. Its barely a week and I miss that HOME so much:the kitchen, toilet, my room ... just ALL. Residing at 24 Healton Walk now, not quite adjusted yet boohoo. Been wanting to head to the beach for picnic but........ (the weather has been realy naugthy here). C.Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid- am I sad? I digress but hey I m still a red-devil for life. Michael Owen's moved to Man.Utd was really shocking and so was the death of the late King of Pop.

Anyhoo....i'll leave you peeps with things to ponder :)

Anyone ever felt caught between a chasm - of being in a state of blissful contentment and at the same time, wanting, yearning, burning for so much more?

Ever felt like you could do pirouettes and spin all day long and at the same time, discovering that you need to take it one turn at a time?

For what it's worth, all these feelings make me feel real. More real than the pain I feel when I kick my toe against the bed more real than the feel of a raindrop on my forehead, more real than the feeling of green grass on my bare feet.They help me understand that I am nothing without Him, that I am merely a vessel, an instrument.

Remember how I mentioned that I had never seen any supernatural beings on my previous entry? I LIED!!! XP I see them every now and then throughout my course of life

Well, it's not that I fully lied.. there's a couple of conditions that I need to meet before I see them: 1) I must be half-asleep, 2) I need to be fully aware that I am asleep, 3) I need to have a dream. So, practically I can only see them in my dream, when I am aware that I am half-asleep, in the form of hallucination. Therefore, my claim to be able to see supernatural beings are totally unreliable.

Usually, when I experience this, I will experience fear in the intensity that almost can be described as outworldly. I won't be able to move my body as well during this whole 'tranced' session. (and no, I am not doing drugs) A condition described as 'ketimpa setan' in Indonesian, or probably 'tertindih hantu' in the proper Melayu term. This usually ends when I finally managed to open my eyes, or move my fingers... which usually takes ALL MY STRENGTH.. =.=

While it sounds like a horrible experience, once you've got used to it, it actually gave quite a good after-taste, a sense of euphoria, a trance of securities and reassurance. Personally thinking this as an awesome experience, I figured that it'd be nice to share some of the creepiest ones with all of you fellow bloggers.. =D

1) It was a few months after I stepped my foot in UK. I was still adjusting myself to the lifestyle here and was stressed out on my very first uni assignment in this country. When I finally managed to fall asleep, I dreamt about a vengeful spirit residing on top of my bloody wardrobe (despite of having only few inches room between the wardrobe and the ceiling, the spirit managed to instill the idea of him being 'human-sized' in my mind) It was when I caught the sight of him that he swung his huge blood-stained cleaver right to my face which gave me enough shock to got me awake from my dream..... just to find him STANDING IN FRONT OF MY BED still with his HUGE BLOOD-STAINED CLEAVER. I was genuinely terrified and realized that I couldn't move any of my body parts at all. After approximately half a minute of struggle, I managed to move my pinky finger (YAY!!!) and it vanishes before my eyes... OH WAIT, MY EYES ARE STILL CLOSED!!!

Yea, this was the bastard that lived on my 3 inches gap between my wardrobe and my ceiling... worse thing? girl in picture was not living with him....

2) Biochemistry is probably the worst subject during my whole entire college life. It was actually the first subject that managed to get me skips my sleeping session just to study for a bloody test... which only worth 15% of the module =.='' It was a beautiful morning, deprived from sleep, extremely stressed out of the coming test, and having the Biochem textbook right in front of my eyes, I am still struggling to both keeping myself awake and stuffing those texts into my now overloaded brain. I decided that I would do this while lying sideway on the bed... and BOOM!!!

All of the sudden, I felt heavy, there was someone lying right behind me on my very bed (I was living alone in a single room which is more like a closet than a room) and HUGGED me from behind. This person, apparently is genderless, and sounds like a PIG.. It SNORTS all the way to my mind. Once again, despite of being terrified out of my life, I still thought it'd be better if I can see the bloody creature who sneak attacked me in my sleep deprivation, so I tried to turn my head only to find that I can't bloody move it. Again, I struggled for about 2-3 minutes just to find it vanishes into thin air at the end. I never caught the sight of that bloody pervert..... And no, this was NOT a sex dream.

Wanted: Sick Snorting Perv, most likely a homosexual, tends to attack the victim from behind while they are desperately flipping thick textbook.... Warning: Upon contact, don't attempt to have kinky thoughts!!!!

3) When I was still 7 years old brat I used to sleep in a king sized bed together with my sister and brother. There was one night when I couldn't sleep for some reason. After about 2-3 hours of self-hypnotizing session, I finally find my eyelid to be heavy (but not my brain), and I closed my eyes......

WHY THE F**K AM I STILL SEEING THE ROOM? WAIT!! WHAT?? I THOUGHT YOU TWO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SLEEPING!!? WTF!!!? STOP JUMPING ON THE BED!!! I AM TRYING TO SLEEP!!! STOP IT OR I'LL HIT YOU TWO!! I M NOT JOKING!! OMFG!! WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!!? I CAN'T MOVE AT ALL!!! STOP LAUGHING!! STOP!!!!!

Well, that's what runs through my mind in a brief minute before I opened my eyes again just to find my brother and sister still sleeping at the very same position as before. And when I closed my eyes again, they rise again... jumped on the bed again... staring at me with their dark, VERY dark eyes, laughing eerily with Joker-trying-to-murder-everyone kind of laugh... It repeated for at least 10 more times before I finally think it wasn't scary at all and fell asleep....

Now that i think of it, I kinda have some idea about how my mind got so f**ked up now...=.=''

Fun Fact:

Sleep paralysis (which is the experience that I'm talking in this blog) is apparently one of the gateway to lucid dreams, a kind of dream in which you are aware that it was a dream and held a full control of it. I had one when I saw that cleaver dude and had a wonderful sex with some sort of Jessica Alba and Keira Knightley hybrid until that cleaver dude re-appear and ruined everything =.='' (DEMYUH cleaver dude!!)

I love watching the trees turn a bright red-gold in autumn just before the flutter to the ground and hibernate for winter.
I love how the flowers bloom in spring and the clear blue skies in summer.
I take for granted the clean, fresh air - sometimes a little too nippy in the early hours, but mostly bearable and pleasant.
I sometimes forget how much freedom of speech is a given thing in this country.

After close to a decade away from home, I still catch my breath when the homesickness kicks in.

To not be able to see mama and papa when i want.
To not be able to run errands with mum and sit in the car whilst she runs into the bank.
To not be able to irritate papa with my endless questioning as to why this and that.
To not be able to 'argue' endlessly with my not-so-little-sister.
To not be chasing Princess Andrea around the place 'til Im short of breath.
To not be meeting the girl(s) - heh, and making a 4pm trip to Miri just for dinner.
To not be at home bbq-ing.
To not come home and see May Chee in the house (our crib @ Malcolm St.)
To not hear 'Fall for you' playing from the room just across mine.
To not hear May Chee laughed her lungs out after I tell her about some 'theories' be it realistic or merely dreams in life.
To not hear May Chee's burping after rounds of Tequila/Vodka shots and sometimes submarines.
To not cook under May Chee's watchful supervision.
To not get 'molested' by May Chee ..hehehe..

As cliche` as it may sound but home is where the heart is. But where is home when the heart belongs at two place?

Recently, for having too much time and too little things to do, I've been stuffing myself with animes again. And one title that especially caught my attention was Natsume Yuujinchou, a magnificently well done feel-good-slice-of-life anime taking on the theme of Japanese supernatural phenomenon known as Ayakashi.

So, basically, this serie goes around everyday's life of a boy who has this special ability to see and even interact with these other-worldly beings, along with his ups and downs for it. Watching it for several days running, a thought just crossed my mind.

What if I can see Ayakashi as well? Wouldn't it be the coolest thing to do? I mean like.. man, I can see what you all can't!! BOOYAH!! It's like PWNing almost every single person in the world for not being able to see them!! HAHA!!

Putting all the excitement aside, another thought runs through my mind. If I was able to see these other-worldly being, how would it change my life? I might actually lose all the excitement of being scared the shit out by most of the horror movies running out there as it has already part of my everyday's life. I might actually has some of them as friends, who would hang around with me to pubs and clubs. Who knows they can even be the coolest being I've ever met.

But on second thought, I guess it can never happen. Constantly being a chicken-ass myself (yea, secretly, ghosts are actually one of my weaknesses. Now that you know it, SHUSH!!), I would probably shit and pee my pant at the same time even at the sight of their shadow. I won't be able to actually go and talk to them, let alone try to understand them. Even if they try to befriend me and follow me around, I would most probably run to the nearest library or temple and find a way or another to exorcise them out of my friggin life. I would never be able to put myself in their shoes, understand their loneliness for being the one who eternally wander this vast world aimlessly. Nor would I be able to sympathetize them for holding negative thoughts towards me, and human in general for constantly kicking them out of their place just because we claimed it as haunted............. On second thought, being ghost is tough =_="

Just a thought...

Fun Fact:

On hot summer days, just like this, in Japanese tradition, people would usually hang pictures of ghosts around their house just to give the chill down to their spine when they see them. It must be the creepiest air-cond ever invented by human

It was a lovely spring day - rather nippy in the morning, but once we got started, we managed to work up a sweat. Yes we went jogging. In a bid to kick-start what may perhaps turn into an annual affair in our life, we jogged close to 3km. Despite not having done anything close to athletics since high-school, i thoroughly enjoyed . I didnt ache as much as I thought I would and we ended the jog with a nice little bfast.

btw, do watch 'Marathon' and see if ure up for a jog the next time :). Excuse this entry, i m just bored ^_^*

After watching a motivating movie, and after ate a very huge portion of hotpot, we decided to go jogging this morning! Guess what, its a miracle that me, Lenz, Szue May, n Kingsley is able to wake up at such an early time! Especially Szue May who just came back from work!

We jog from Amstrong Park to... Jesmone Park (not sure about the name of park), then back to Heaton Park! It was surprising that I able to jog after i didn't went joggingor exercise after almost one year. Then, the most important part is, we went to Belle & Herbs for breakfast after jogging.

If you guys went to Belle before, u know that the portion of food serve are humongous!!! So, today we have learnt from previous lesson thus we only order 3 breakfast and shared by five of us.

*Busy eating!!! Please don't misunderstand my face expression, is not because of the food are bad, is actually an expression of enjoyment! =p

It is unbelievable that we can finished the food! It was the first time that food finished and the plates are so clean since we started to visit Belle. At the end, morning jogging was totally pointless after these breakfast meals from Belle.

Dr Evil VS Super Astro

Dr Evil is a crazy mad scientist who always been thinking to create a super creature!!

One day, he meet a mushroom who name is Mushy was alone by himself.
He kidnapped Mushy and hanged him in his lab! >.< He is planning to turn Mushy into a creature!
Mushy's mothers realize Mushy was kidnapped by Dr Evil, she then ask help from Super Astro.
Super Astro fly high above the sky and using his "eagle eye" to search for Mushy.
Finally, he found Mushy in Dr Evil's lab, and he trying to negotiate to Dr Evil so that he would release Mushy.
Dr Evil has refuse to release Mushy and he send his pet Bony Dino against Super Astro.
After a great fight, Super Astro has defeated Bony Dino, and Dr Evil has lost!!
Mushy was rescued and return to his Mama~ Super Astro has saved another life from evil again~
At the end, Dr Evil has jailed in prison for the rest of his life because he trying to turn a mushroom into creature instead of fried/grill/boil/eat the mushroom!

Is it just me - or does it seem like time seems to go doubly quicker as we approach the middle of the year? Our life has been packed to the brim (or so it seems) over the last months.I have hardly had time to sort through and stock-take this year, much less plan for the year ahead! and soon I have to start the inevitable- packing.
Anyways, as I attempt to sort my life into boxes, I will also attempt to drizzle little stories here and there that may allow you to catch a little more of my heart on this www :)

In case none of you know, (In which, you are thus ALL allowed to refer to yourselves as a bunch of "OUTDATED heaton-nites") allow me to introduce to you the greatest phenomenon that has ever rocked the face of the earth... or maybe just that of Heaton in particular. Meet "KUKU", the self proclaimed (actually, by ME) official mascot of Heaton, distant cousin of Lulu (my actual housemate) and the official the face of boooze, loud parties, sayur (please do not ask me what this is, less you want to be smoothered by a ten-ton dildo) and... pure madness. (MADNESS??? THIS IS SPARTA!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... *refer to "KUKU's" reaction.)

KUKU, (Actual name: Kingsley's Most Awesome Pet Pigeon Ever) is actually a domesticated animal existing only within the boundary of Heaton Park's santuary. Given its seemingly hostile nature and spartan valour, it's favourtite call sign is called the 'Yo Pigeon, gimme 4!' (As indicated by the pigeon's four toes/fingers/whateverthatfreakingthingiscalleddammit) and quite surprisingly, its easily tamed by introducing to it quantities of "MINUMAN HEBAT!" of "sayur" (again, please dont ask me what this is) in which you are guaranteed to expect a full year's supply of LOVE from domesticated squirrels, mongrels, foreign pigeons, athropods, winged beast. (noticed i mentioned BEAST instead of normal "aves" or "birds")

Yet, realize that while you may be genuinely anticipating all these events with elevated heartbeats, irregular breathing patterns, and adrenalin pumping through your system, i do admit that whilst writing this load of bovine crap, i am after all under the influence of alcohol and thus my credibility rating has fallen another 145.34%, meaning that "KUKU" might be just a fragment of your imagination after all. (MGHT!) But thank you anyway for reading what an awesome pet "KUKU" actually is, and in the future i do hope to introduce him to you persoanlly. Hmmm... on second thought that might not work as well as i thought...
